On Sunday, April 18, 2021, Eric Domonic Smalls, affectionately known as "Lil Eric", departed his earthly life and entered into eternal rest at UM Laurel Medical Center, Laurel,MD, in the presence of his wife and parents.

Lil Eric was born to Tammy LaVonne Smalls and Curtis Eric Smalls on April 6, 1990 in Clinton, MD. He was baptized at an early age. As he grew, so did his faith and love for God. He spent his adult life ministering to many people and preaching the word of God. Lil Eric had hopes of opening and starting his own ministry.

Lil Eric married Ebuny Monet Shelton on August 22nd, 2015. From this union, they were blessed with two wonderful kids,Charlie LeNora and Brock Oliver. God saw fit to increase their blessing and their third child will be born in October. Lil Eric loved his wife and kids. He dedicated his time making many memories with his family. He was the camera man and always captured candid moments with his family. During his time off, Eric devoted his time homeschooling his kids and focused on their education.

Lil Eric was educated in the Prince Georges County School System. In his nineth grade year, he joined the football team at Frederick Douglas High School, where he played for 3 years. He continued his love for football at McDonough High School and played for the Rams his senior year. Lil Eric graduated from Maurice J. McDonough High School in 2008. He attended West Virginia State University, where he was a member of the Yellow Jackets football team. He continued his studies at the College of Southern Maryland.

In his early years, Lil Eric was a cub scout and joined the Boys and Girls Club, where he played baseball and basketball. Family and friends were very important to Lil Eric. He spent a lot of time with his cousins and enjoyed attending family events. Lil Eric was soft-spoken, but very verbal. He loved a good debate, often expressing his views on social media. He was very passionate about issues he felt were important. He was so passionate about encouraging people that he created a men's group to uplift and encourage men. The group was called Iron Sharpens Iron-I Am My Brother's Keeper. Lil Eric used this group to discuss issues that men may be facing. He offered prayer and always checked in to make sure all of his members were ok.
