Obituary

Emory Lee known as "Jeep," was the second of two children born to the (late) Ann Lee Jones and Woodson Davis.  Jeep was born August 29, 1943 in Watkinsville Georgia. He departed this life peacefully on October 7, 2023.

Jeep grew up in Charles County Maryland and attended Pomonkey High school.  He played in a band as a drummer at Lamont's night club in Indian Head, Maryland in the 1960's.  Jeep then later moved to Washington DC and worked as a cook at Bake Dukay restaurant for several years. Jeep loved family, friends, good food, and good times. His favorite movies were Driving Miss Daisy and Daddy's Little Girls. Listening to old gospel music was his favorite hobby and attending church service. Jeep joined New Zion Baptist Church in Washington DC in 2013 where he also became a Deacon.

Jeep, was preceded in death by his brother (late) Willie Jackson Jr and his son (late) Emory Lee Jr.  He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 19 years: Yolonda Lee, his sons Webster Lee (Debra) of White Plains, Md, Jeffrey Mays (Quarnoda) of Baltimore Md, and his stepdaughter Nakisha of Temple Hills, Md.  Grandchildren: Tevin, Iris, Malik, Kennedy, KyLeah, Kash and Keeyon.

Jeep always had an encouraging word for you when times were hard.  He would just randomly pray for people in jail or anyone that was sick.

Jeep will be loved and missed dearly by friends and family.
