Elizabeth Delores (Spriggs) Riley, 79, of Welcome, Maryland
Elizabeth Delores Riley passed away unexpectedly August 19, 2022, at the age of 79 surrounded by family.
Elizabeth was born on October 4, 1942, to the late George Phillip Spriggs and Marguerite Matilda Bowman in McConchie, MD.
Elizabeth was a loving mother of four and adoring wife to husband James Jerome Riley. Elizabeth married her husband James of 61 years on October 7, 1961. They enjoyed living life together and made their home in Welcome, MD. Their inseparable bond and love for family was strong and beautiful. Elizabeth was lovingly known as Mickey, Liz, Ma, Mom, and Grandma. Elizabeth was deeply cherished by her husband, children, and grandchildren. Elizabeth accepted God into her life at an early age and was a devoted member of St. Catherine's Church. Elizabeth received her formal education in the Charles County Public School System in Maryland and graduated from Belton High School. She was a homemaker, crafter, loved yard sales, vacationing with her kids, played an amazing role in raising her grandchildren and held a career in Retail.
Elizabeth preceded in death by her sisters, Alice Montgomery, Luvenia Montgomery, Mary Waugh, brothers, Francis Spriggs, Sylvester Spriggs and William Spriggs.
Elizabeth leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband James Riley of 61 years and four children, Deborah (Keith) Coates, Tammy (Jeffery) Davis, Jerome (Teri) Riley and Timothy (Lisa) Riley. Grandchildren, Sheldon (Dantae), Tiffany, Jeffery Jr. Janiece, Jada, Marcus, Jasmin, Jordyn, Timothy (TJ) Jr, Johnathan (John), Christopher (Chris), Brandon and Keith, Jr. Great grandchildren, Talia, Jamiya, Michael Jr., Joy, Jania, Joseph, Jacob, Janette. Her sisters Louise Jordan, Evelyn (Thomas) Dashiell, Virginia (William) Farmer, Eleanor (Darryl) Kitt and brothers; John (Faye) Spriggs, Edward (Melon) Spriggs, Robert (Barbara) Spriggs, Harold (Rose) Spriggs, James "Jimmy" Spriggs and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends.
The best mom truly blessed us. Until we meet again. We love and miss you dearly, to the "Moon and Back"!
