Elizabeth Louise (Proctor) Bowman "Betty" 81 of Brandywine, Maryland.
Like a radiant flower in full bloom, she was chosen for God's eternal kingdom. Born to Morris and Agnes Proctor, Elizabeth Louise (Proctor) Bowman, affectionately known as "Betty," graced this world on September 16, 1944. She grew up on a farm in Indian Head, Maryland, receiving her education through the Charles County Public School System.
Throughout her life, she worked tirelessly, pouring her heart into every endeavor with unwavering dedication. Her journey was marked by purpose, resilience, and strength. Betty's love illuminated not only in her words, but also her actions. She was always present, reliable, and eager to give beyond what was expected. As a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, cousin, aunt, and friend, she exemplified loyalty and commitment. Her profound faith in God and devotion to her family formed the foundation of her existence. Having immersed herself in the Bible, she drew wisdom and strength from its teachings. Her deep love for God, shaped her character and deepened her commitment to unconditional love. Betty's radiant smile could brighten any room, reflecting the grace she carried within her. Her values and unwavering spirit guided her life, leaving a lasting impact on the countless lives she touched.
Betty's radiant spirit will always be celebrated in the hearts of her beloved husband, Paul Bowman, and her cherished children: daughters, Margret "Penny" Proctor, Ronette Williams,(husband Larnie Williams, Sr.), and Michelle Proctor; sons, Richard Proctor (wife Roche' Proctor) and Dale Proctor. They leave to carry her legacy forward generations to come. She is also survived by her sister, Mary Neal; brothers, Larry and David Proctor; eighteen grandchildren, twenty two great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and a multitude of nieces, nephews, and friends. "Her impact will resonate through generations".
Betty is preceded in death by her parents, Morris and Agnes Proctor; daughter, Debbie Mason and son, Rodrick Proctor; three sisters, Barbara, Salome, and Shirley; brothers, Emanuel, Milton, Theodore, Bernard "Billy", Jerome, Vernon, and Winfield. May they all find eternal peace together in paradise!! Love and miss you all!!
Viewing, 10:00 a.m., Monday, March 30, 2026 until time of the Celebration of Life, 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Thornton Funeral Home, P.A., 3439 Livingston Road, Indian Head, Maryland 20640.
