IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Elizabeth Ann
Ford
October 18, 1955 – February 27, 2022
Elizabeth Ann (Chase) Ford, 66 of Port Tobacco, Maryland.
On Sunday, February 27, 2022, surrounded by her family, Elizabeth Ann Ford transitioned from this life at her home in Port Tobacco, Maryland to be with the Lord.
Elizabeth was born to the late John and Ruby Chase on October 18, 1955. Elizabeth was married to Clarence Ford for 40 years. From that union, they were blessed with 3 children. She attended school in La Plata, MD. Elizabeth's professional career began at the Department of Treasury. She eventually transitioned from there to be a homemaker for 15 years. In 1995, she started working for Charles County Public Schools as a Library Instructional Assistant at Indian Head Elementary School. She retired in 2016.
Elizabeth was an active and dedicated member of St. Matthews United Methodist Church in La Plata. She served on the Hospitality committee, was a Communion stewardess, and was the Recording Secretary for 7 years. She loved God, attending church, and listening to gospel music. She knew how to praise and worship God during the peaks and valleys of life. No matter what happened, her faith never wavered.
Elizabeth's greatest joy was spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. You could always find her working in the yard and gardening. One of her favorite pastimes was shopping on QVC. She enjoyed decorating her home especially during Christmas which was her favorite time of year.
Elizabeth was the definition of kindness and love. Everyone she encountered, could tell she had a heart of gold. She always saw the good in people and the best in God. No matter what curveballs life threw at her, she never complained. She was steadfast, immovable, and always abounded in the work of the Lord.
In addition to her parents, Elizabeth was preceded in death by her brother, Gregory Chase.
She leaves to forever cherish her memory her husband, Clarence; her children, Leya Cofer (Cedric), Anthony Ford (LaTeicia), Michelle Fisher (Brandon), and Adrian Robertson, Jr.; grandchildren: Langston and Carsyn Posey and Chase and Logan Ford and a host of relatives and friends.
