Obituary

Eleanor moved on to eternal life and reunited with
her husband, Francis Leroy Johnson Sr. on Sunday,
September 18, 2016, what would have been their
62nd wedding anniversary.

Born, October 25, 1931 in Bensville, Maryland to Albert and Florence Ware, Eleanor lived a fulfilling life as a wife,
mother, beloved grandma and essential friend.

No matter who you were or how far away you traveled to see her, she let you know she would be unavailable on Mondays and Thursdays because she needed to go play BINGO. She was also an avid solitaire player and slot machine connoisseur.

EJ attended school in Southern Maryland and raised her family in Pomfret and Waldorf, Maryland. Her favorite past time was having her daily cup of coffee and talking on the phone to just about
anybody, and don't worry, if you didn't answer she'd call you back 5 times before you even knew you missed a call. When not chatting with friends, you could find her immersed in a romance novel or
catching up.

Eleanor leaves behind her only sister, Mary Estelle Brawner; four children, Calvin (Pat), Judy (Gaston), Leroy Jr. (Janice) and Alan; five grandchildren, Stephanie, Stacy, Chris, Corey and Frasier; five great-grandchildren, Kiara, Elijah, Zeldon, Joshua,
Doneissa and Malik. She also leaves behind a host of other family and friends including her good friends from Victoria Park.

Her viewing will be held from 10 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial 11 a.m. on Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 4590 St Joseph's Way, Pomfret, Maryland 20675.
