Johnson, Edna Elizabeth Wells (Age 97) of Washington, D.C.
On Friday, October 11, 2013, Edna Elizabeth Wells Johnson entered into eternal rest at the Genesis Elder Care Center in LaPlata, Maryland. Edna was born on December 29, 1915 to the late Georgianna Jupiter Washington and the late Maynard Wells in Wayside, Maryland.
Edna began her education in the Charles County school system but soon relocated to the District of Columbia where she would reside until just recently. She was gainfully employed in the United States Government until her retirement in 1985.
Edna loved to travel and shop. A faithful attendant, Bobby Inniss would gather friends from the District and travel to LaPlata for visits. She enjoyed cooking and helping her neighbors, in addition to her visits to the salon. She also loved to assist at the senior's facility in Washington, DC. She often talked fondly of her Aunt Blannie, Ben and James. Her joy was the daily phone calls with her only child, Bernice.
She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Elizabeth Jupiter; her godmother, Jerolene Dickerson and her aunt Blannie Thomas.
