Douglas Hosea Pipkin, 64 of Waldorf, Maryland.

Obituary

Douglas Hosea Pipkin went home to everlasting peace on Saturday November 6, 2021.

Douglas, also known as "Breeze" to friends was born in Memphis, TN on January 27, 1957, to Willie Jo (Punchie) Williams and Holsey Pipkin.

Douglas graduated from Westwood High School in Memphis, TN. Upon graduating from high school, he honorably served in the U.S. Marine Corp followed by employment in Sales Management.

Upon retiring, Douglas took to the road traveling with his wife Susan in their RV. He loved posting pictures about their adventures on Facebook. His hobbies were fishing, playing pool and gardening. He enjoyed laughter, fellowship, line dancing and spending time with his grandson. Douglas will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Douglas found his true calling in life in 2012 upon joining the Free and Accepted Masons. He was a staunch and active member of the Prince Hall Masonry Maryland Jurisdiction holding numerous leadership positions including: Jr. Warden, Bee Hive Lodge No. 66 Free and Accepted Masons; Sr. Deacon, Sr. Warden, Worshipful Master, Victoria Lodge No. 71 Free and Accepted Masons. He was elevated to Right Worshipful on the Grand Lodge Lecturer staff for the Southern Region. Douglas had also earned his 32 nd Degree as a Sublime Prince from James A. Mingo Consistory #334.

Douglas leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Susan; two daughters, Destiny and Dyamond; one grandson, Carter; three sisters, Spring, Michelle, Audrea (Doyle); two brothers, Leonard and Donnie; three brothers-in-law, Steve "Bucky", Tony "Pete" (Crystal) and Kenneth "P-Nut" (Robin); a sister-in- law, Tawanna "T"; a step-mother, Lenora Pipkin; three step-children, Sean (Sherry), Andre and Courtney; nine step-grandchildren, Sean Jr. "Tony", Arianna "Ari", Kevion, Kaiya, Kadan, Kashyia, Jahmai, Karli, Jayla and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Douglas was preceded in death by his parents, Holsey Pipkin and Willie Jo "Punchie" Williams.

Viewing, 10:00 a.m. until time of the Masonic Service, 11:00 a.m. followed by the Celebration of Life, 11:30 a.m., Thursday, December 2, 2021 in the Chapel of Thornton Funeral Home, P.A., 3439 Livingston Road, Indian Head, Maryland 20640.  Interment, Maryland Veteran Cemetery, 11301 Crain Highway, Cheltenham, Maryland 20613.
