DONOVAN LLOYD EARLINGTON (AGE 55) OF ACCOKEEK, MARYLAND

Donovan Lloyd Earlington, a highly regarded and longstanding resident of Prince George's County, died unexpectedly on June 29, 2021, at the age of 55.

Donovan is survived by his parents, Winston and Mevelle Earlington as well as his brother, Glasford Earlington, sisters, Nadine  Earlington, Marie Crawford and their spouses, Di-Ann, Ricky and Alonso. He is also lovingly remembered by his four nephews and two nieces.

Donovan was born January 15, 1966, on the beautiful island of Jamaica. He migrated to the United States as a young child and grew up in upstate New York.  Donovan matriculated through the Poughkeepsie school system and then earned his undergraduate degree in Psychology and Sociology from Marist College. Donovan later pursued additional studies in Counseling at John Hopkins University. He was passionate about issues related to justice and children's rights. Due to his dedication, Donovan worked as a Senior Intake and Pretrial Officer at the Alexandria Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court for the past 28 years.

In his spare time, Donovan enjoyed spending time with close friends, traveling, working outdoors, and completing home improvement projects. He was a hard worker who readily took on challenges at work and at home. One of Donovan's favorite pastimes was watching his most beloved football team, the Pittsburgh Steelers.

A celebration of Donovan's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at Thornton Funeral Home, P.A., 3439 Livingston Road, Indian Head, Maryland 20640. The service will be preceded by the viewing at 10:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, a charitable donation in memory of Donovan will be made to the following organization:
