Donnell Anton Pointer, 52, of Fort Washington, Maryland.

Peacefully on Tuesday, April 19, 2022, God sent His angels to bring our beloved Donnell Anton Pointer home for his eternal rest. He joins his brother, William Pointer, Jr who preceded him in death in 2021.

Donnell was born on July 12,1969 in Washington, DC to William Sr and Patricia Pointer, the youngest son of six children.

Donnell was baptized and accepted the Lord as his personal Savior at a young age.  He attended Prince George's County Public Schools and graduated from Oxon Hill Senior High School.

Donnell inherited a strong work ethic from his father, he had that "never-give-up" attitude. He learned his trade at a very young age working with and for his father's company.  For over 30 years, he enjoyed working with the Department of Public Schools and the Department of General Services in one of the best Paint and Plastering shops in DC.

If you knew him, you would know that he lived life to the fullest! He was extremely passionate about spending time with his family and fiancé.  He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, cooking, and traveling.  He took pride in creating a warm, welcoming, and inviting home.  He was also particular about the upkeep of his yard. His favorite pastime was watching western movies and cheering on his favorite football team, the Dallas Cowboys.

He had an unassuming and disarming smile that could put anyone at ease; everyone was his friend. His sense of humor was second to none.  Donnell always found the silver lining to keep pushing forward in any situation.

Donnell was so special; he represented the good that we all need every day in our lives. He was one of a selected few who could rise to meet challenges with a smile.

Donnell leaves to cherish his memories to his fiancé: Nicole Ray; Children: Donnise Wilson (Channing), Torry Toney, Stephon D. Ray and Carrington N. Ray; Granddaughter: (Zoë Toney); Parents : William Sr and Patricia Pointer; Siblings : Gail Pointer, Mischelle Pointer, Charles Pointer (Shereta), LaShawn Walker (Jimmie) and Valentino Plummer (Tunisia); Sister-in-law : Yolanda Pointer; Nieces and Nephews : LaRonda Hudgens, William Hudgens (Gabrielle), Erika Hudgens, Alex Pointer, Chasity Greene, Guyia Butler, Canei Williams, Jada Pointer, Jayden Pointer, Jimmie Jenkins, Johnnie Jenkins, Chontyce Pointer, Jerremiah Walker, Kristen Price and Donovan Plummer; Uncles : Ronald Pointer Sr (Lovelle) and Reginald Gillum, Sr (Carolyn); Aunts : Gwendolyn Hopkins (Leonard), Debra Gillum, Denise Carmena (Joseph), Dorothy Gillum, Ruth Alexander (Donal), Wynnice Napper (Charles); a host of Great Nieces and Nephews and other relatives and friends who will truly miss him.
