Obituary

Donna Jean Lee, age 56 of Indian Head, Maryland, was peacefully called home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 13, 2013. She was born to Donald Herbert Lee and Barbara Jean Lee on May 7, 1957.

Donna attended Henry E. Lackey High School in Indian Head, Maryland. She was employed as a mail clerk for many years. Following her tenure, she devoted her life to the care of her parents. Family and friends meant the most to her, as she was a loving and devoted mom, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to many. She was especially proud of her daughters Tonya and Arsha.

Donna grew up in a very close and loving family. She had a special bond with her loving sister, Brenda Lee. In their younger years, those two were inseparable, when you saw one, you saw the other.

Donna Jean was an extremely outgoing and lively individual. She enjoyed trips to the casino, playing cards and participating in the weekly football pools. She was such a lucky winner! Cookouts, hanging out with her friends, and going to see her grandkids play sports were some of the things she enjoyed doing.

Donna is survived by her parents Donald and Barbara Lee; daughters, Tonya Ellis (DeJuan Ellis), Arsha Ford; Grandkids, Takayla Ellis and DeJuan M. Ellis; Sisters, Brenda Lee, Barbara Anita Lee (deceased); Brothers, Donald "Perry" Lee and Tracy Lee (Alanda Lee); Nieces, Kimberly Allen (Cliff Allen), Latoya Bovell (Kris Bovell), Kelanda Dickerson and Brianna Lee; Nephews, Darnell Thomas, Jr. and Trey Lee; Great nephews, David Mason, Jr., Tyrell Allen and Jayvon Allen; And her best friend Stephanie Milstead, who was by her side until the end.

Viewing, Saturday, November 23, 2013 from 8:30am to 10:00am in the Chapel of Thornton Funeral Home, P.A., 3439 Livingston Road, Indian Head, Maryland 20640. Mass of Christian Burial, 11:00am, at St. Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church, 30 Mattingly Avenue, Indian Head, Maryland. Interment, St. Charles Cemetery, Glymont, Maryland.
