DeVirge Aileen Epkin "Virgie", 59 of Waldorf, Maryland.

Virgie's Journey

DeVirge Aileen Epkin a.k.a. Virgie was born on March 13, 1961 in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania to Emma Jean Bowman and Freddie William Bowman. She was raised in Maryland and graduated from Potomac High School in 1980.

Soon after graduating, she married her high school sweetheart and had a daughter, all while working for the Census Bureau in Suitland, Maryland.  DeVirge later moved on to Constellation Federal Credit Union, where she worked for 12 years and then decided to follow her passion of becoming a caregiver.

In doing so she worked for a few private families and Bertha's Place. She also worked for Fort Washington Health Care Center as a dietary aid. From there she became a Certified Medicine Technician working for The Charleston Senior Community. She was very dedicated to her passion for helping others.

DeVirge was and will always be remembered as the life of the party. She was such a beautiful, nurturing, intelligent, and wise woman. She was a godly woman who enjoyed life. She was always so joyful and enjoyed making others laugh. She was one who always gave more than what was expected. Therefore she was such a generous person. She wore her heart on her sleeve and would do anything for anyone. She loved to talk and meet new people wherever she went. She was loved by so many and left an everlasting impression on all.

Virgie was the glue when it came to her family and friends. Although she's not physically here, her spirit is always with us. She is survived by her daughter, Crystal Epkin Roth and son-in-law, Geoffrey Roth; grandchildren, Ashtian Roth, Christian Roth, Jourdyn Roth and Julian Roth; parents, Emma Jean Bowman and Freddie Bowman; brother, Frederick Boman; sister, Shelley Smith; nephews, Sidney Bowman, Akeem Berry and DunJour Bowman; high school sweetheart, Norman D. Epkin Jr.; two special aunts, Ronnie and Nita; two best friends, Diona Minor and Verily Mclendon and a host of family and friends.

SUCH A BEAUTIFUL ANGEL MAY SHE REST IN HEAVEN.
