Deloris Mary Thomas Marbray was peacefully called to rest on Saturday, March 21, 2020 at Sagepoint Senior Living Services, LaPlata, Maryland.

Deloris was born on November 11, 1939 to the late Harold G. Thomas and Isabel M. Barnett in Washington, D.C.  She married the love of her life, Alvin Marbray of Bryans Road, Maryland and was a phenomenal mother to two children, Anita White (Norman) and Kevin Marbray (Michelle).

She was educated in Charles County and graduated from Pomonkey High School class of 1957.  During high school, Deloris participated in school plays, was a majorette, debutante, cheerleader and Sr. Class Secretary.  In past years, Deloris occasionally worked part-time as a teacher's aide but primarily stayed home and cared for her family.

She loved the Lord, loved to cook and loved her family! Especially, her grandchildren, Jordan, Tierra and Marcus and great-granddaughter, Leilani.  She was proud of their academic achievements and supported many of their school activities such as choral concerts, plays and athletic events.

Deloris made friends with everyone she met and truly showed the love of Christ. She will be dearly missed.

Deloris leaves to cherish her memories, her husband, children, sister, Eleanor Johnson, aunts, Evelyn Lowe and Elnora Tingle, grandchildren, great-granddaughter, nieces, nephews, and many cousins and friends.

The family greatly appreciates all kindness, prayers and support during her illness and our bereavement.  Special thanks to Sagepoint, Hospice of Charles County, Visiting Angels and Genesis of LaPlata and all caregivers for providing excellence of care.

Services will be private and limited to immediate family.  In lieu of flowers, you may send contributions in her memory to Hospice of Charles County, Waldorf, Maryland.
