Jones, David Wesley (Age 74) of Oxon Hill, Maryland
OBITUARY
David Wesley Jones was the third child of three children born to the late Beverly F. Jones and Christine S. Wood-Jones. He was born July 21, 1938 in Arvonia, Virginia.
David attended school in Virginia. He was a graduate of Carter G. Woodson High School in Dillwyn, Virginia. He moved to New York and worked at a shoe factory for many years. David lived in Baltimore and worked 32 years for Millenium Chemical Company from which he retired April 1, 1999.
David married his loving wife, Peggy Miller, to whom he was married 18 years, until he was called home to rest.
David is survived by his
wife, Peggy L. Miller-Jones; his stepson, John Miller; two sisters-in-law, Agnes Stovall of Bremo Bluff, Virginia and Hazel Holiday of Ivanhoe, Virginia; and three brothers-in-law, Paul Carson of Arvonia, Virginia, Odell King of Arvonia, Virginia and David M. King, Sr. of Richmond, Virginia; a host of nieces, nephews and friends. He is preceded in death by three stepsons, Robert Miller, Dennis Miller and Daniel Miller; one brother, Manfields Jones; and one sister, Christine J. Doss.
Visitation, 10am until time of Service, 11am on Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at Good Shephard Baptist Church, 5203 Wheeler Road, Oxon Hill, Maryland 20745. Interment, Heritage Memorial Cemetery, Waldorf, Maryland.
