Adams, David Michael (Age 73) of Waldorf, MD

David M. Adams was suddenly called home to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, May 3, 2020. David was affectionately known as "Dave", and he was born on December 7, 1946 in Washington, DC. He was raised by the late George Colbert and Birdie Gross of Chapel Hill, Maryland. Dave was educated in public school system of Prince George's County.

After graduation, Dave had various jobs in the area until he landed a career position with the first DC Metro System. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching his favorite team – Washington Redskins.  No matter what other fans said to him, he never stopped rooting for his team.  He loved to dance and was always the life of the party.  In fact, whenever you saw Dave, you could bet on him asking you for $5.00 and always telling you that he got you or was going to pay you back the next time that he saw you. He also had a playful and mischievous side.  He loved cookouts, the race track and attended baseball games.

In 1989, David rekindled his relationship with Marie Stewart; and on April 5, 1991, they were married.

David was preceded in death by his parents Richard "Dick" Harry Adams and Elizabeth Wills.

Cherished memories of Dave will remain in the hearts of his family: son: Scott Stewart, daughters: Paula Dorsey and Courtney Adams, grandchildren: Cierra and Skye Stewart, Keva Knight, Ryan Gomillion, and Milaan K. Crowder, great-grandchildren: Jayden Chambers-Knight and Na'ziah Dorsey-Knight. His main man, nephew Justin Thompson. Extended family, The Blakes: Leon, Minerva, Lawrence, William, Donna and Chucky.

Special friends, Gerald Warrick, Mark Greenfield, Chuckie Blake, and the Rev. Dr. Brian K. Brown. Dave also leaves, several sister and brother in-laws, many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews, cousins, several special family members and friends.

He will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him .

On Sunday, May 3, 2020, David Michael Adams transitioned to eternal life in Bel Alton, Maryland.
