DALE PATRICK SWANN (AGE 62) OF LA PLATA, MARYLAND

Dale Patrick Swann was called home on September 12, 2021 at University of Maryland Charles Regional Medical Center in La Plata, Maryland.

Dale was born on August 5, 1959, to the late Louis Swann, Sr. and Margaret "Hester" Swann of La Plata Maryland. Dale was the third oldest of eight children. Dale was educated in the Charles County public school system. He graduated from La Plata High School. After high school Dale worked for Waldorf Tire, Davis Corp. and Seymore Construction. He was known to be one of the best Dozer Operators in Construction.

In 1978, Dale was blessed with a son, Michael Honaker, then in 1985, he was also blessed with a daughter, Stephanie Swann. Dale loved being around loved ones, especially hanging out and spending time with his daughter and granddaughter, Destenee. He also enjoyed being outdoors, watching Mystery Show, Perry Mason, western, Gunsmoke and Leave it to Beaver. Dale also enjoyed going crabbing and fishing.

Dale was preceded in death by his parents Louis and Hester Swann, brother, Louis "Corky" Swann, Jr., and host of aunts and uncles.

He leaves to cherish his memories, son, Michael and daughter, Stephanie, three sisters, Carolyn Rock (Thomas), Sonya Henry (Reggie) and Adrienne Watson (Wayne), three brothers, Derek "Timmy," Daryl (Marjorie) and Scott Swann, five grandchildren, Destenee Brown, Cody Michael Jr., Luke, Cameron and Bryce Honaker, one great granddaughter, Cora Ann Honaker, daughter-in-law, Wendy Honaker and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

His Viewing will be, 9:00 am, until Mass of Christian Burial, 10:00 am, Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 201 St. Mary's Avenue, La Plata, Maryland, 20640.  Interment, church cemetery.
