Her Journey
Daisy Eugenia (Dyson) Johnson was born Saturday, October 15, 1932 to Alexander (Zan) Dyson and Alberta Ophelia (Bland) Dyson in Bryans Road, Maryland. She entered into eternal rest Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at Crescent Cities Center Nursing and Rehabilitation in Riverdale, Maryland.
Daisy attended Charles County Public Schools finishing her last years at Pomonkey High School. Shortly after graduating high school, she began to work for the government in Washington D. C. Later in life, Daisy finished her work journey and retired from the Itoh International Patent Office in Washington D. C.
Daisy was a mother of two children, the late Sharon "Coco" Dyson and Eric Johnson. She was known to be a hard-working, motivated, woman who was not afraid to go after what she wanted. Daisy was of the Baptist faith and had a strong appreciation for the Lord. She always talked about one day being able to return to Macedonia Baptist Church where she attended in her early years.
Daisy's hobbies were cooking, reading, playing cards, and spending time with family. The holidays were times she appreciated the most. Daisy loved her bacon, toast, and a hot cup of coffee for breakfast. There was no doubt that a huge dinner was going to follow. She made a Thanksgiving dinner that made you feel like you hit the jackpot. Daisy loved to party and was always the life of the party!
