JACKSON, CRYSTAL RENE (AGE 42) OF TEMPLE HILLS, MD
Crystal Rene Jackson was born 42 years ago on June 14, 1973 in LaPlata, MD to her loving parents, Curtis and Ellen Jackson. She was adored by her big sister Patrice Jackson. She was called home to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 1, 2015.
Crystal was a happy and delightful child with a huge smile and quiet spirit. She attended Mt. Hope Elementary, General Smallwood Middle and received her high school diploma from Lackey High School in Indian Head, MD. After graduation, she immediately pursued a career with the Federal Bureau of Investigation in Washington, DC. Throughout her career, Crystal was constantly recognized with awards and certificates for her outstanding work and contribution to the FBI's mission. In her spare time, she also earned an OPI certification for nail design and recently obtained a food handler's license.
Although Crystal had many talents and hobbies, including creating beautiful and unique nails and hairstyles and cooking delicious meals, she was most passionate about serving God! She knew the Lord at a very early age and throughout her life, shared her many talents by serving him. At the age of 10, she was baptized at Mount Hope Baptist Church in Nanjemoy, MD. She enjoyed attending Sunday School, vacation bible school and singing in the Junior Choir. As an adult, Crystal was a member of the Sanctuary in Waldorf, MD and was later led to the Tabernacle of Praise (TOP) in Waldorf, MD, where she served faithfully until she was called home to be with the Lord. At TOP, she was the proud Director of the Culinary Service Ministry, where she helped create many memorable celebration and events. Crystal was known and touched people in many circles and loved in every one of them!
Crystal was preceded in death by her Grandparents: Colbert and Louise Dent and Robert and Bernice Jackson; five uncles: Robert A. Jackson, Lewis Matthews, Cline Price, Milton Tolson and James Warren; and four aunts: Jean Jackson, Isrom Dent (Earnest), Lorraine Thomas (Clyde) and Charlotte Dyer (Francis). She leaves to celebrate her life her loving, devoted and caring parents: Curtis and Ellen Jackson and her "Big Little" sister Patrice Jackson; one great aunt Howardine Jackson; three Uncles: Colbert (Florence) Dent, Bernard (Doris) Dent and Thomas Dent; six aunts: Ida Marie Warren, Mildred (Gerald) Datcher, Delores Jackson, Edna Price, Sylvia DuPree and Barbara Matthews; one God daughter Sharika Lee; one God brother Gerveld Smallwood; her church family and an abundance of cousins, and other loving relatives, co-workers and friends.
Crystal would like to let you know that her work here is done. She received a call, a sort of an offer you can't refuse, for an appointment from which she will not be returning. This assignment comes with a huge sign-on bonus, a reunion with family and friends she has not seen in a long time. Job security is exactly 110 percent. Her new mission takes her to a wonderful place where she will be socializing, dancing on streets paved in gold, cooking, and doing hair to her heart's content. Laughter and love are guaranteed. The food is delicious and you never gain an ounce. She left detailed instructions for those who loved her - wipe away the sorrow and celebrate her life because her mission here has now been completed! Low adherence to this instruction will not be tolerated.
Her viewing will take place from 10am until time of service 11am, on Thursday, October 8, 2015 at Tabernacle of Praise, 3280 Leonardtown Road, Waldorf, MD 20601.
