Mrs. Cozette was born January 29, 1936, to the late Mrs. Mary Boney and Mr. Robert Thomas. Mrs. Cozette closed her eyes in death departing her earthly life. Sunday February 11, 2024, at Complete Care Nursing Home La Plata Maryland.

Mrs. Cozette was born in Brooklyn, NY. She completed high school and attended cosmetology school at James Sprint Community college in Kenansville, NC.  Education was very important to her. She was kind and loving to her children and a great homemaker. She took many opportunities to give advice about life's walk.  Mrs. Cozette had a way with words.

and a tone to let her children know along with "the look" her children understood. Mrs. Cozette was a retired Sunday School teacher. Her faith and hope in God his son Jesus and the holy Bible were ingrained in her children early. Mrs. Cozette married her beloved husband, the late Charlie Wells Jr.. To this union seven kids were born three sons and four daughters.  Her children were her pride and joy. She only wanted the best for her children's grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mrs. Cozette was the matriarch of the family. She was proceeded in death by her two sisters, Gladys Alexander, and Willie Mae Wiggins.  She was blessed to raise seven children Andre Thomas (Kalish), Anthony Wells (Sara), Tiffiony Keys (Frances), Janice Wilson (Sean), Thomasetta Wells, Clarence Wells (Delora), Treva Hawkins (Marcus).  Fifteen Grandchildren Tamara Hill, Andre Thomas Jr, Owen Dyer Jr, (Lajeral) Demetre Wells, Sherlina Peterson, Terrill Wells, Anthony Wells Jr, Tasha Wells, Kendrick Wells, Rasheed Murphy, Brandon Murphy, Mya Murphy, Sean Wilson Jr, Anihya Wilson, Clarence Wells Jr.  Five great-grandchildren Zayvion, Dontaya, Donta Broadhurst Zakai and Harmony Murphy. Honorary grandson Edward Smith and a host of family and friends.

Her Viewing will be 10:00 am until time of Service, 11:00 am, Saturday, February 24, 2024 in the Chapel of Thornton Funeral Home, P.A., 3439 Livingston Road, Indian Head, Maryland 20640.
