Obituary

Proctor, Conrad Joseph (Age 71) of Mechanicsville, Maryland.

Conrad Joseph Proctor (71) of Mechanicsville, MD., departed into eternal life on Thursday, October 17, 2013, at Georgetown University Hospital.

Conrad was the youngest child born to the late Alvin Harold and Mary Leslie Swann-Proctor. He is preceded in death by his brothers Lowell, Garner, Ray and Edward Proctor; sisters Catherine Dawes and Irene Harley; granddaughter Jonell Davis; and son-in-law Lynell Dade.

He was educated in the Charles County Public School System. He worked for many years with Beltway Pavement and retired from them as well. He enjoyed driving trucks and watching his favorite NFL Football team – The Dallas Cowboys. He loved to eat crabs – that was one of his favorite things to do. He also loved to eat fried potatoes with hotdogs and beans. After that he would finish it off with a cold glass of cold milk.

Conrad leaves to cherish his memory: his wife Shirley Proctor; children TyWanda Proctor (Kenny Halloway), Charles Proctor (Althea), Corlette Proctor-Dade, Priscilla Harley, Joy Proctor (Herman Washington), Shawn Proctor; sisters Matilda Mason, Delores Wilson, Bernadette Swann and Doris Proctor; brother Abraham Proctor (Naomi); grandchildren TykeyaBrawner, Jason Stringer, TroyBrawner, Lynell Dade, Jr., Antoine Washington, David and Jonathan Mason, Kiera Shanks, Shawn Proctor, Jr., SequanPinkney, Terrance Proctor, Jayquan Gray, Calalia Dade; great grandchildrenLanijah and NevaehMordecia, and Ja'niyah Ford; sisters-in-law Evelyn, Eulalia, Mae (Sonny), Joyce (Mike). He also leaves memories to a very special longtime friend, Ms. Ann Zorn and a special nephew Jamie Mason and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Viewing, 10am until time of Service, 11am, Friday, October 25, 2013 in the Chapel of Thornton Funeral Home, P.A., 3439 Livingston Road, Indian Head, Maryland.

Interment, Heritage Memorial Cemetery, Waldorf, Maryland.
