Cheyenne's Journey
Cheyenne "Chey" Eursell Brown was a caring and loving mother, daughter, big sister, and a devoted friend to many.
She was born to Nicadra Brown and Charles Dyson, Sr. on Thursday, August 6, 1992, at Columbia Hospital for Women in Washington, DC. She attended DC Public Schools and was recently planning to pursue additional education and workforce development. Chey was dedicated to the Lord in 1992 at The National Church of God where she attended. As a youth, Cheyenne was heavily involved in several programs at the Boys and Girls Clubhouse #14. She had the most infectious spirit, and she touched the hearts of every person she met.
Cheyenne was a Jane of many trades working in the hustle and bustle retail/ customer service industry for a few years. Some of her other talents included her amazing spelling abilities where she was known to family and classmates as being Akeelah from Akeelah and the Bee. There wasn't a word she didn't know how to spell or any person that could out spell her. She also had a knack for technology. If you had a technical issue with any electronic device, Chey could tell you what was wrong and how to fix it. She was an avid user of social media and even able to find the number and call one of her idols Tiffany Haddish whom she invited to her birthday party.
Chey had a heart of gold and loved everyone unconditionally. She enjoyed having a good time laughing and joking and celebrating with family and friends. If there was a party happening, you could count on her to be there even if she had to call the whole world for a ride to get there. She was a die-hard Redskins fan who loved supporting her team. During football season you would find her wearing her infamous Redskins hoodie which seemed like she wore almost every day. She was so excited when she found out she was pregnant. Chey loved and adored her son Juan. They would spend time going to the playground or would get on the bus and go on mother-son adventures for the day. With the help of her village, Juan was well taken care of and surrounded with an abundance of love.
Ultimately Cheyenne fulfilled her purpose on this earth and was called home to be with the Lord. Her memories and legacy lives on through her son, Juan Brown; Parents, Nicadra Brown and Charles Dyson (Kia), Sr.; Sisters, Amelia Brown and Layah Dyson; Brother, Charles Dyson, Jr.; Grandparents, Mary Komongnan Williams (John), Terry Johnson, Cerise Logan, Larry Dyson, Sr.; Aunts, Renita Johnson, Angela Morse, Candis R.
