On Thursday, December 28, 2017, Cheryl Paulette (Chase) Carroll, peacefully transitioned this life to go home to be with her heavenly father, at her home in Indian Head MD.
She was born in Washington D.C. to Russell Eugene Chase and Rosie Theresa (Dyson) Chase on July 8, 1958.
Cheryl attended Charles County public schools and graduated from Lackey High School in 1976.
On February 17, 1988 she married her high school sweetheart, Donnell Carroll and enjoyed 41 years together raising three daughters Dianica, Tanesha and Latanja.
In her early age Cheryl attended Macedonia Baptist Church in Bryans Road MD. and was baptized in 1973 by Rev. William Scott. During her Christian walk she was a faithful member throughout her membership serving in multiple roles to include but not limited to the President of the Usher Board, Sunday School teacher, Vocational Bible School Teacher and Praise Team member. Cheryl continued her faithful membership at Fort Foote Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Joseph W. Lyles.
Cheryl had over 25 plus years of service in the federal government and was employed at the Bureau of Engraving and Printing, Washington D.C.
Cheryl is survived by her parents Russell and Theresa, husband Donnell Carroll, three daughters Dianica Payton (Rodney Sr.), Tanesha Sherrod, and LaTanja Kelly (Antimothy), Grandchildren: Jaela Carroll, Willow Sherrod, Gabrielle Sherrod, Dynasty Kelly, Rodney Jr., Elijah and Desmund Payton. Brothers: Karl E. Chase Sr., Russell "Freddy" Chase (Cheryl), Leroy "Thomas" King Sr, (Robin). Sisters: Colette T. Chase, Terrell "Terri" S. Chase, Petrina "Trina" R. Chase. Uncles: Albert Dyson Jr. and Nathaniel Chase. Aunts: Lorraine Dyson and Delores Jacobs. Mother and Father-in-law Donald M. and Rosa V. Carroll, Sister-n-law: Beverly Carroll and Terri Carroll, Brother-in-law: Bernard Warren and Paul Carroll. Thirteen nieces, eleven nephews, nine great nieces and five great nephews. Godchildren: Ashely Short, Traci Short, Betoria Brown, Aliyah Burns, and Tamia Fleet (devoted niece). Extended Family Reverend Geoffrey and Angela Thomas.
