Charles Clayton Baskerville (Age 59) of Accokeek, Maryland.
OBITUARY
Charles Clayton Baskerville was born on July 24, 1956 in Washington D.C. to John Henry and Celestine Mae Frazier Baskerville. He was educated in Washington D.C. public schools until the age of 9 and in Prince Georges County public schools until he graduated from high school in 1974. After graduation Charles enlisted in the United States Navy where he served two years and then served in the U.S. Naval Reserves. After leaving military duty he began working at the Naval Ordinance Station (NOS), Indian Head, M.D., where he worked as a weapons engineer for more than 30 years. He retired from NOS in 2012.
The past few years had presented Charles with some very serious physical and emotional challenges. Through it all he persevered. During all his health challenges, God blessed Charles to continue to have a kind heart and to share his emotional strength and exceptional wit to inspire people to live the best life they could possibly live.
Though his will was strong, his body had become weary. He departed this life on Friday, November 13, 2015 at George Washington University hospital after having suffered cardiac arrest during dialysis the week before. He had a loving and encouraging spirit in life, and his memory will serve to be a loving and encouraging spirit from above.
Charles was a wonderful brother and will be missed terribly by his sister, Jonessa Baskerville Lindsey and brother-in-law, Joseph R. Lindsey. He was also a very devoted friend. He had become like a 'brother from another mother" with Kim and Harold Hammond, and was "Uncle Charlie" to Kim's son, Dustin Rusk. There was also a special bond and friendship between Charles and Debbie Wilmot; they understood one another in ways that only the two of them would truly understand.
Charles was loved and appreciated by many. We will miss our brother friend; as he would end each conversation, we know we will meet again, "LATER!"
