On Monday, August 27, 2012 at Rock Creek Manor Nursing Home in Washington, D.C. Catherine L. Poe quietly transitioned from this earthly life to life eternal.
Mother of Bernice Patten, Medora D. Sims, Leonard A. Poe and James L. Poe. Also surviving are ten grandchildren, thirty two great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, son-in-law, Charles E. Sims, Sr., daughter-in-law, Ruby B. Poe and a host of other relatives.
Viewing, 10am until time of Service, 11am on Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at Evangel Catherdal Chapel, 13901 Central Avenue, Upper Marlboro, Maryland. Interment, Lincoln Memorial Cemetery, Suitland, Maryland. Arrangements, THORNTON Funeral Home, P.A., Indian Head, Maryland.
