IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Carol Delores
Williams
December 25, 1940 – March 9, 2022
Carol Delores Williams, 81, of Washington, DC
Carol Delores Garlic Williams, daughter of the late Robert and Mary Garlic, was born on December 25, 1940, in Washington, D.C. She was the third child of 11 children.
In her marital union with the late Joe L. Williams, Carol attended John J. Wright Middle School in Fredericksburg, Virginia and Eastern Senior High School in the District of Columbia.
Carol worked as a secretary in the Federal Government for 32 years, working for the Departments of Labor, Commerce, Agriculture and Education. She was proficient in short-hand and proof reading – she could eye an incorrect sentence quickly!
Carol gave her life to Christ at an early age and rededicated her life to serving the Lord wholeheartedly in the mid 70's. While at the Southern Baptist Church she was a Sunday School teacher and served on the Usher Board. She worshipped with her son during his pastorate and the Temple Missionary Baptist Church and the Cathedral Assembly of Reconciliation. She was a member of Kingdom Covenant Fellowship with her sister, Pastor Gloria Easter.
Looking at Carol you can see Mother's beautiful smile and love of family and Daddy's zest for life, quit wit and sense of humor. She was energetic, fun and would always have something to share that would bring laughter and entertainment to any gathering.
Carol leaves to cherish her memory one son, Joseph Kevin, Sr., three grandchildren (LaToya Delores, Brianna DeNai Heyward and Joseph K. Williams, II), six great-grandchildren (Jerrell, Myles, Autumn, Tyia, Cairo and Chloe) and one great-great grandchild; her siblings Gloria Easter, Richard Garlic, Barbara Stafford, Bessie Jones and Doreen Brown; one sister-in-law; nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
