Bruce Anthony Jefferson, Sr.

Bruce A. Jefferson Sr. was born June 16,1958 in Shereveport, Louisiana to the late Francine Jefferson Reddon. At an early age, he professed his life to Christ at Old Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Grandcane, Louisiana. The family later moved to Glenarden, Maryland where he received his education. Bruce attended and graduated from Duval High School June 6, 1976. While in school Bruce ran for the track team. He attended the United States Army Military Police School and received a Certificate of Achievement award for outstanding support of the 10th Battalion, Military Police Training Brigade. He later enlisted in the United States National Guard. After serving in the National Guard he worked various jobs, but had a passion for cooking and playing music in which he earned the name the "DJ Koolaide Kid". Bruce loved the ladies and the ladies loved "The Koolaide Kid", hence the slide show pictures. Bruce loved his family and always was willing to help someone if he could. He loved the Lord and always asked for forgiveness. He will be remembered for his welcoming smile, kind heart, his favorite saying "Woo, Woo, Woo!!", and his love for the Dallas Cowboys. Bruce was proceeded in death by his Mother, Francine Jefferson Reddon and brothers, Mark Anthony and Jeffrey George Reddon. He leaves to cherish his memory, his Dad William D. Reddon; daughter Geavonta Jefferson; son Bruce A. (Kim) Jefferson Jr.; grandchildren, Jacari, Kayla, Anthony, Jaleeah, and Bruce III; great-granddaughter Koa Milli; brother's Ronald "Wayne" (Hermita) Reddon and Andrew "Thomas" (Tina) Reddon; sisters Lashawn (Darin) Dotson, Lenora Reddon, and Dorothy Reddon; a special friend Jeanette Butler; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
