Obituary

DUNSTON, BRIDGETTE MORREEN BARNES (AGE 48) OF CAPITOL HEIGHTS, MARYLAND.

OBITUARY

On Monday, February 28, 2011, Bridgette Morreen Dunston departed this life, beginning her journey to live God in the heavens above; a new life, eternal life, and in the newness of God. Although a huge lover of dogs, she had as many lives as a cat, and she definitely used all of them. Each time God called upon her, she was given an extended time on this earth to make her peace and enjoy the simplicity of life.

Bridgette, affectionately known as "Kim," was born on October 7, 1962 in Washington, D.C. To Bartha Marvin Campbell and Yvonne Green. Upon the marital union of Yvonne Green and Irving Barnes, Bridgette was later adopted. She was the oldest of three children born from their union. Throughout her life she attended both parochial and public schools, graduating from Oxon Hill High School in Oxon Hill, Maryland. She went on to receive her Bachelor's and Master's Degrees in Theology from Breakthrough Bible College.

In May, 1981, Bridgette was married to Otha Wallace, Jr., and they were blessed with three sons, Otha III, Kendall, and Marvin Wallace. Bridgette later met and married Andre Dunston in May, 2001. No children were born from that union.

Bridgette spent most of her working career as a civil servant for the U.S. Government. During her tenure, she acquired a vast knowledge in the areas of analysis, procurement, and technical writing. Through her aspirations, she received many awards by her superiors during her employment.

Bridgette was a very devoted Christian, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She committed her life to Christ and never looked back. She was a devoted and faithful servant of God, attending church regularly until her health began to decline. She loved the Lord with all of her heart and it was displayed through her angelic, but sometimes feisty spirit. She lived her life serving and trusting God, knowing that whatever happened in her life was the will of God. She provided words of encouragement to all who came into her presence. She loved her family dearly, and that love was displayed in her nurturing and caring spirit. She was a mother's godsend, devoted wife, loving mother, and most wonderful sister. She was a "Woman of Virture"...for her worth was priceless.

She leaves to mourn her passing and to cherish her memories, her husband Andre Dunston; three sons Otha III, Kendall, and Marvin Wallace; parents Bartha Marvin Campbell, Yvonne & Irving Frost; sister Juanita Barnes; brothers Irving Frost and Jermaine Barnes, who preceded her in death; grandchildren Kyra, Amariah, and Delvon Wallace; two nieces De'ja Clarke and Demi' Tinsley; and a host of other relatives and friends.
