IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Briana Prathenia
Land
April 28, 1992 – July 16, 2021
BRIANA PRATHENIA LAND (Age 29) OF TEMPLE HILLS, MARYLAND.
Briana Land was born on April 28, 1992, the second daughter of David Michael Land and Betty J Land. She journeyed to eternal life on Friday, July 16, 2021.
Briana spent most of her formative years in the D.C. Maryland VA area and attended T.C. Williams High School in Alexandria, VA. Upon graduating, she pursued her interest and passion in culinary arts and enrolled in the Johnson and Wales University in Charlotte, N.C., graduating with an associate's degree of Applied Science in Culinary Arts and a Bachelors of Arts in Culinary Arts and Food Science.
From this, Briana's passion for exploring ethnic cuisines, drinks, and places soared. She used the kitchen as a laboratory and experimented with herbs and spices in various food recipes. Expanding from there, Briana went on to explore the science of mixology, using her knowledge and creativity, as well as her attention to individual tastes to create signature drinks. She loved this aspect of food science and enjoyed bartending, both professionally and casually.
Briana was interested in herbalism, spiritualism, whole-body holistic health, and enjoyed cooking, gardening, visual arts, needlecraft, video games, and history. She was an avid reader and music lover, and she would go to great lengths to arrange family get-togethers where everyone would socialize and enjoy themselves.
She loved elephants, candles, and just taking in the scenery on long drives. Her affections were subtle but profound, and she secretly loved kisses from her family. Briana liked yoga and had become a good swimmer. She would watch over her mom in the pool and encourage her not to be afraid, all while cheering on her friend Vanessa, demonstrating one of her best qualities: Briana was always willing to support others in their ambitions.
Briana's passing is mourned by her parents, sister Chelsea, three brothers Dwayne, Dylan, and Ethan, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends, including her cat, Inca, whom she treasured.
