She began her career at The University of the District of Columbia (UDC), in the Data Processing Department, and retired in March 2013 after 32 years of service.
While at UDC Brenda relocated from LaPlata, MD to Washington DC. Brenda's love for books, learning and technology advancements, she continued her education by taking several Computer Science related class courses.
Brenda was very instrumental in the lives of her immediate family, they meant more to her than anything else in the world. She was a devoted, and loving daughter and caretaker to both her parents and brother Timothy, unconditionally. When her mother became ill a few years ago, Brenda never left her side, making sure she received proper treatment, love, support, and encouragement.
