Jamieson
November 11, 1946 – April 9, 2020
JAMIESON, BRENDA DIANE (AGE 73) OF MARSHALL CORNER, MARYLAND
Brenda Diane Posey was born on November 11, 1946 in Washington, D.C. to the late Randolph and Edna Mae Posey Holmes. She was educated in Charles County, Maryland and attended and graduated from Pomonkey High School in 1964.
Brenda met and later married Melvin Jamieson on June 3, 1965. Together they had two sons, Joseph Melvin Jamieson Jr. and Randolph Harris Jamieson. Eventually, they would add a third son to their family by adoption, Christopher Anthony. Both Brenda and Melvin had big hearts and opened their home to two other young men, Lamont and Jeffery, as well.
Brenda loved her family, her boys and especially, the grandchildren. They, along with her two, four legged, little furry friends Pebbles and Smokey gave her much joy. Brenda lived a very simple life and enjoyed the quiet pleasures such as bingo (she loved her bingo), completing Word Find puzzles or watching her favorite "soaps." She listened to the oldies during the week and her "church music" on Sunday's. Whenever there was a family event, Brenda would be there, and even with a walker, would dance on occasion. Brenda showed great strength throughout her life, losing her first son, Joseph, to tragedy when he was a young boy and years later, losing both her husband and son, Randy in less than a year of each other and in 2016, suddenly, her last son, "Chip/Chipper" took his final breath too.
Brenda was employed with St. Elizabeth's Hospital as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) and Mental Health Counselor until her retirement. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Pomfret, Maryland.
In addition to her parents, husband and three sons, Brenda is preceded in death by her brothers, Donald and Ralph "JoJo," sisters, Joyce, Darcel, and Tyvice.
Left to cherish her memories are her daughter-in-law, Natalie, grandchildren, Randy, Brandon "BJ," Darius, Sierra, Dylan and Mariah, two great grandchildren, Hope and Aliya, sister, Germaine, three brothers, Byron, Sr., Rory and Kenneth, two aunts, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, best friends, Regina Edelin, Mary Coates "Sis" and Aline Dyson, and a host of other relatives and friends.
