IRICK, BANDON DURRELL (AGE 29) OF UPPER MARLBORO, MARYLAND

Brandon Durrell Irick, affectionately know as "Turfland,"  was born on November 13, 1992 to Sean and Valerie Irick in Clarksville, Tennessee.

Brandon was an aspiring rapper with the Turfland Music Group creating lyrics from the chapters of his own life.  He had released over ten, self produced albums filled with thought provoking words that made you appreciate your own situation and reflect upon his.  He also was poet.

Although he may have had his physical challenges, he was filled with life especially when recording music, gaming or spending precious time with family at bar-b-que's, holiday gatherings or family reunions.

While young in years, Brandon had a heart for others and was dedicated to philanthropy. However, his greatest passion was that of his music and being successful in that endeavor.

His family will remember him as a man of few words with a positive spirit full of love.  He was always striving for more.  He will be greatly missed.

In addition to his parents, Sean and Valerie, his memory will continue to live on in the hearts of his sister, Brittney S. Wood, grandparents, George and Donna Irick, Shirley Jones and Otis Watson, aunts, Rene' Brown, Kim Thomas, LaKeisha Craft and Krystal Brown, uncles, Anthony Craft and Shepherd Brown, and "a ton" of loving cousins.

A memorial Service will be held on Sunday, July 11, 2021 in the chapel of Thornton Funeral Home, P.A., 3439 Livingston Road, Indian Head, Maryland 20640.  Family will receive family and friends at 10:30am.
