Reflections of Life

Bobby Gene Lee , was called home to be with our Lord and Savior on Friday, October 6, 2017 with his loving family surrounded by his side.  He was born on March 4, 1947 in Athens, GA to the late Lizzie May Taylor-Lee & Henry Grady Lee.  He was baptized at a early age at Free Gospel Church in Bryans Road Md.  He was educated in the Charles County Public School System and graduated from Pomonkey High School 1967.

He was married to the late Vera Carroll-Lee and of that union 4 children were born. He was employed by WASA, now know as D.C. Water & Sewer Authority, for thirty plus years until his retirement.

Bobby enjoyed going to Budds Creek Race Track, hunting, and playing cards.  He was well known all over Charles County for playing and coaching softball games.  He loved watching sports and was an avid fan of the Washington Redskins Football Team.  Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Bobby was preceded in death by his parents Lizzie and Henry Lee, siblings; Leroy, Buck, Ann, Matt and Andrew Lee and Ella-Mae Tutt.

He will be missed but lovingly remembered by his children, Priscilla Bolding, Corey Lee (Sherry), Nicole Lee and Shanetta Lee (Joe); grandchildren Shaunice Lee, Kristin Moore, Sharika Lee, Corrin Lee, Keyron Davis, Corey Lee Jr., Michael Webb Jr., Tyjhae Gray and Laila Mayse; great grandchildren Chaun Daniels, Gabriela Ruiz-Lee, Ayden Lee and Greyson Moore.  Brothers, Henry (Emma) and Edward Lee.  Sisters, Katherine Brown, Elise Standback and Barbara Ann Blackwell.  Sister-in-laws, Ireatha Heard, Isadore Chisley, Mabel Keys (Herman), Ann Lee, and Vivian Dent (Lynel).  Brother-in-laws, Bernard Carroll (Shirley), Norman Carroll and Adolph Carroll.   Special friend Deborah Smith.  Best friends, Samuel Savoy, Harold Swann, Woody Woodland  David Johnson and a host of other relatives and friends.

Viewing, 9:00 a.m. until time of service, 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 13, 2017 at Mount Hope Missionary Baptist Church, 8705 Gilroy Road, Nanjemoy, Maryland  20662.  Interment, Church Cemetery.
