Bernardo Augustin Lloyd, Jr., 74, of Oxon Hill, Maryland
Bernardo A. Lloyd Jr., son of the late Geraldine Lloyd McLeod and Bernardo A. Lloyd Sr., was born September 5, 1945, in Panama. Bernardo departed this life Sunday, February 9, 2020, at his home in Oxon Hill, Maryland. Bernardo joined the United States Army. After four years of service, he decided to reenlist and that is where he learned to be a Master Chef. He continued his career at Good Food Service for many years, until his retirement.
Bernardo was high spirited with a bubbly personality. He loved to talk and enjoyed giving good advice to others. Bernardo will be remembered as one who put a smile on your face and made you laugh. Bernardo will truly be missed.
Bernardo was preceded in death by two brothers, Francisco Lloyd Kamani and Eduardo Mcleod.
Bernardo is survived by his wife, Debra Douglas Lloyd, son, Kamani and stepson, Jermaine. He had three children from a previous marriage, Bernardo A. Lloyd, III, Gladys Lloyd Wallace (Sean) and Alexander Lloyd, sisters, Susana Lloyd Diggs, Damaris Lloyd and Virginia Lloyd, brother, Humberto Lloyd and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
His Viewing will be, 11:00 am, until time of Service, 12:00 noon, Monday, February 24, 2020, in the Chapel of Thornton Funeral Home, P.A., 3439 Livingston Road, Indian Head, Maryland 20640. Interment, Maryland Veterans Cemetery, 11301 Crain Highway, Cheltenham, Maryland 20623.
