Barbara Jean was born in Washington, DC to the late Constance "Sis" Milstead and the late Earl "Duke" Gray. She lived in Marbury, Maryland and attended Pomonkey High School. She married the Love of her life, Donald H. Lee in January 1956. They were married for 67 years and produced 5 beautiful children. She worked for the Charles County Board of Education as a Food Service Assistant. She also raised 4 of her beautiful granddaughters.
Affectionately known as Bobbie/Bob (as her great grandchildren so lovingly called her) was a doting grandmother and to the neighborhood kids, she was known as the "freezy lady" selling delicious freeze pops she made. There was nothing she would not do to protect her grandkids and make sure they had everything they could ever possibly want. She took the time to remember everyone's birthday and made sure everyone had their own special card at Christmas with money, 1 envelope from Pop Pop and 1 envelope from Bobbie. Her favorite things were getting her manicures and pedicures and making sure her hair was cut and dyed auburn. Grandma Bobbie loved hanging out with her family playing cards and laughing at all the great grand kids growing up around her. She loved hosting gatherings and having her family around her. Christmas was her most favorite time of the year as she would eagerly and beautifully decorate her house and make Pop Pop move the furniture so she could put up her Christmas tree. She enjoyed shopping at Walmart with her daughter Brenda; She ALWAYS took her on mother daughter dates; She enjoyed watching scary movies, Lifetime, and Law and Order; Her favorite shows had to have been General Hospital and The Price is Right, She LOVED some Bob Barker! Her son Donald "Perry" took such great care of her during her last few years. He was so overprotective, and she loved it! She perked up every time he came around. Bobbie will be deeply missed and cherished by her family and friends; She was loved by anyone who got to know her.
