Obituary

Minniefield, Artherrine Eldridge (Age 66) of Clinton, Maryland. Artherrine E. Minniefield more affectionately known as Rene was born in Birmingham, Alabama on March 28, 1944, to her mother, the late Artherrine Eldridge and her father, the late Hosea Malone. She received her education at Parker High School in Birmingham, Alabama. She confessed Christ in her early years at Tabernacle Baptist Church in Birmingham, Alabama. Upon moving to Maryland, she united with Ebenezer AME Church in Fort Washington, Maryland. Artherrine and her daughter, Pamela Renea met Donald R. Minniefield and Artherrine later married him on September 11, 1966 in Pontiac, Michigan. To this union three children were born; Letha Yvette Minniefield, Russell Minniefield, and Andre? Marcellus Minniefield. Rene worked for the State of Maryland Mental Health & Hygiene, Goodwin House Nursing Home. She also provided Private Duty Nursing along with a host of other jobs. She especially enjoyed caring for the elderly. Rene loved dancing, family reunions, holiday celebrations and cooking for her family. She was always willing to give a helping hand to others. She was ?Mrs. Neighborhood Watch?, while watching her favorite T.V. channel, ?Lifetime?. If you had a question about the neighborhood, she had the answer. Although her mother died while giving birth to her, family members, Katie Harris and the late Mary Lee Gray Speights opened their hearts and home and raised her with their families. This gave Rene instant siblings; Gloria E. King, Warren Harris, Ernest Harris, Barbara Ann Allen, Loretta Cheatham, Janice Moseley and Letha Seay. Throughout the years and during her time of need, her best friends, Catrice Dickson and Margaret Carey were angels sent from heaven to assist her family and to be by her side, prior to her departure. Rene transitioned from this earthly life to eternal life at her home on Thursday, November 18, 2010, with her family and her sister, Gloria E. King, who spent the last hours praying and comforting Rene. In addition to her husband, Donald R. Minniefield; children, Pamela Renea Powell, Letha Yvette Minniefield, Russell Minniefield and Andre? Marcellus Minniefield, fond memories will be cherished by eight grandchildren; Marcus Powell, Erica Cooper, Ta?Jon Davis, De?one Adams, Serena Reece, Octavion Minniefield, Ba?Sean Minniefield and Tanai Christian Minniefield; siblings; Gloria E. King, Warren Harris, Ernest Harris, Barbara Ann Allen, Loretta Cheatham, Janice Moseley and Letha Seay; goddaughters, Robin and Mariah and a host of family and friends.
