Our mom had a very feisty and stylist personality, at a young age she use to keep the ladies in Poseytown hair done in what every style was in at that time. Her doors was always open to everyone even people she did not know very well, Our friends were able to stay overnight and the next morning there was a full breakfast waiting for anyone who wanted to eat. Always ready for a picnic in the back yard, going to the beach and Zoo almost every summer, celebrating holidays especially Thanksgiving and Christmas. Her favorite pastime was bingo and sewing making clothing for her three girls, herself and others, canning vegetables and fruits and she made great jelly. She loved her flower gardens and decorating for holidays . Mom loved her plants and flower gardens, which she spent a lot time in the yard caring for them which she has passed on to her children. Shopping was a passion of hers especially when she had us girls with her and dining out afterward.
She also enjoyed traveling with us kids and grand kids. We made many trips to Florida because every time another kid was born and became of age to enjoy Disney World we just had to go back. She traveled to places like, Atlantic City and Wildwood New Jersey, Orlando, Miami and Key West, Florida, Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, Omaha Nebraska, Pine Bluff, Arkansas with a stop in Tunica, Mississippi and Denmark and Columbia South Carolina.
