Obituary

Antoine Demetrius Straughn (Age 43) of Waldorf, Maryland.

Antoine Demetrius Straughn was born at Washington Hospital Center in Washington DC to the late Arlean Wright and Calvin Straughn Jr on May 1, 1973. Antoine suddenly departed this life and transitioned to eternal rest in Ohio on Saturday, March 11, 2017.
He was the youngest of seven boys and affectionately known as "Andy". As a young boy he loved to play basketball with his older brother Terence and his cousin Fred, whom was like a brother. He also enjoyed playing football with family and friends.

Antoine attended public schools in Washington DC and graduated from Eastern High School in 1991. He was a Strayer University alumni, graduating with an Associates Degree in Accounting.

Antoine worked several jobs in the metropolitan area. He was employed by Virginia Department of Transportation for many years and was currently employed with CSC Service Works, Eldridge MD.

Antoine loved cars. One would never find him in a dirty car. He was known for having a booming sound system and tinted windows!

His love for music lead him towards management of various local music groups. He was also involved in event planning.

Antoine loved life, had many associates but a small circle of friends, who's friendships he cherished.

Antoine and Janel met in May 2014. They were married April 3, 2015 and became an instant family. Antoine's love and appreciation for his wife and two sons was unmatched.

Antoine was preceded in death by his mother Arlean Wright and father Calvin Straughn Jr, his brothers Gregory, Ronald, Edward and Derek Straughn.

He leaves to cherish his memory, wife Janel, her sons Javon and Judah Worthington and honorary "daughter" Skye-Vivian McKethan.
