BEACH, ANTHONY W. (AGE 54) OF OXON HILL, MD
Anthony Wayne Beach, known as Bo-Bo, was suddenly called by God to his eternal home to rest on March 7, 2013, while in Oxon Hill, MD. He was born April 14, 1958 in Washington, D.C. to Lillian Proctor and the late John Ira Whittington.
He was raised and lived most of his life in Oxon Hill, MD. He attended public schools in Oxon Hill and graduated from Oxon Hill High School. While at Oxon Hill High School he ran track and played football. He also played baseball for the Boys club. From a union during his early years came his only daughter, Takila Ford-Newkirk.
Anthony lived life to the fullest. He worked for the Prince George's County School Board for several years. He also had jobs working in the field of construction, landscape, and roofing. Bo-Bo had a passion for children and a love for dogs. He loved going to parties to 'boogy- woogy," as he called it. He danced with and without his cane until he couldn't dance anymore. Bo-Bo also loved riding his bike and fixing on them. He loved his God, family and friends.
Anthony attended St. Paul United Methodist Church as a child and was active in Sunday school.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Don Beach.
Left to cherish many, many fond memories of Bo-Bo are his mother, Lillian Proctor; daughter, Takila Newkirk; grandsons, Jeremy Newkirk and Jebari Newkirk; brothers, Elvis (LaShaon) Beach and Marvin Beach; half brothers, Ronnie Simms and Nathaniel Beach; half sisters, Patricia Simms and Debbie 'Tiny' Simms; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
His Viewing will be held from 10am until Services 11am on Friday, March 15th, at St. Paul United Methodist Church, 6634 St. Barnabus Road, Oxon Hill, MD 20745.
