Cobb, Amanda Shenell (White), 57 of Clinton, Maryland.

On March 22, 2021, God took Amanda Shenell Cobb hand and said "Come home my child". Amanda was born to George and Eleanor White on May 14, 1963 in Washington, D.C. She attended the public school system of Washington D.C. and graduated from McKinley High School in 1981. After graduation she went on to work for Federal Mediation and Conciliation Services from 1984-2021.

In 1986 she married the love of her life, Melvin S. Cobb. From this union they had one son, James S. Cobb. She was a devoted member of Great Commission Church since 1992 and most recently, Spirit of Faith Church.  Amanda loved to sew, cook and enjoyed spending quality time with family and friends.  Amanda and Melvin loved to travel and enjoyed special times together.

She leaves to cherish precious memories her beloved husband, Melvin S. Cobb of Clinton, Maryland, son, James S. Cobb of Clinton, Maryland, father, George White and mother, Eleanor White of New Canton, Virginia, two brothers, Andrew White of Washington, D.C. and Kennith (Patricia) White of St. Angelo, Texas, half sister, Diane Quirley of Richmond, Virginia, a brother, George A. White, preceded her in death, four sisters-in-law, Paula (Derral) Graves of Waldorf, Maryland, Wanda (Tommie) Holloman of Aulander, North Carolina, Carolyn Jackson of Washington, D.C. and Eloise Hutnell of Clinton, Maryland, brother-in-law, Andrew Harrison of Vancouver, Canada, twelve nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Viewing, 9:00 a.m. until time of Service, 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 3, 2021 in the Chapel of Thornton Funeral Home, P.A., 3439 Livingston Road, Indian Head, Maryland 20640.  Interment, Heritage Memorial Cemetery, 13472 Poplar Hill Road, Waldorf, Maryland 20601.
