Thomas, Alvin Louis (Age 85) of Port Tobacco, Maryland.

Alvin "Mutt" Thomas, of Mc Conchie, Maryland departed this life on Sunday, August 25, 2013 at the University of Maryland Charles Regional Medical Center in La Plata, Maryland. He was born April 25, 1928 in Baltimore, Maryland to John Cager and Emma Thomas. Mutt graduated from Bel Alton High School on June 7, 1944. He went on to serve in the United States Army receiving an Honorable Discharge on December 14, 1956. Mutt was married to the late Florence M. Thomas. He began working for the Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission in 1966 and retired in 1992. Mutt enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

He leaves to mourn his death four children: Mary Jackson, Florence Jackson, Alvin Brown and Rudolph Brown, Sr.; two daughters-in-law: Janet Brown and Ella Chester; two sons-in-law: Edward Jackson, Sr. and Leroy Jackson. He also leaves two sisters-in-law: Ola Chance and Ethel Adams; one brother-in-law: Charles Adams; thirteen grandchildren, twenty-five great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
