Alvin Tyrell Parks, 41, of Accokeek, Maryland
On April 11, 1981, a baby boy was born in Washington, D.C., his name was Alvin Tyrell Parks.
Tyrell attended Prince George's County Public Schools and graduated from Bowie High School. He later received certification as a CNA.
Tyrell believed that love and family were everything and that life should be enjoyed and not spent worrying about meaningless things. Tyrell listened to gospel music on Sunday mornings but also enjoyed rap, oldies soul and love songs. He enjoyed making rap music, cooking, going out to eat, going to the movies, family gatherings and watching his niece and nephews grow up. He produced and published his rap songs and collaborated with others on theirs. Additionally, Tyrell was an exceptional cook and enjoyed the art of cooking, watching cooking shows, going to the studio and family time. He was also an amazing car salesman.
Tyrell never married and had no children. While he had no brothers, he had many cousins and friends he was close with. He had such a sweet heart. His most special relationship in life was with his mom.
Tyrell was a handsome man who enjoyed looking nice. He was recognized by all as loving, caring, compassionate, respectful, and most of all STRONG.
On Monday, July 18, 2022, Alvin Parks peacefully transitioned to eternal rest in La Plata, Maryland.
He leaves to cherish his precious memory, his mother, Edna Dillard, his stepfather of 38 years, David Dillard, biological father, Alvin Johnson, Paternal Grandmother, Annie Johnson, Granny, Elizabeth Dillard, sister, Krystal Dillard, niece, Zuri Harrison, nephews, Zahari and Zayden Harrison and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, (siblings from his father, Sheena, Iesha and Ashley), and friends. He had a very special bond with his aunt, Antoinette Carroll.
He was predeceased by his Maternal Great-grandmother, Edna Bullock, Maternal Grandfather, Robert Parks, Sr., Maternal Grandmother, Delores Parks, Paternal Grandfather, Ralph Johnson, Aunt, Dolly Weems, Cousins, Dwan Edwards, Steve Jennings and Billy Johnson.
His Viewing was held at 9:00 a.m., until the time of Service, 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 29, 2022, in the Chapel of Thornton Funeral Home, P.A., 3439 Livingston Road, Indian Head, Maryland 20640.
