Johnson, Alfred Thomas II (Age 59) of Prince Frederick, Maryland.

Alfred Thomas Johnson, Jr. was born on August 8, 1955 in Washington, D.C. to Alfred T. Johnson, Sr. and Myrtle E. Johnson. Alfred departed this life on Friday, October 10, 2014 at Charles County Hospice after a brief illness. Alfred was surrounded and supported by his loving family and caregivers during the last days of his life.

Alfred grew up in Bradbury Heights, MD and attended Suitland High School. Alfred developed his love for cars as a small child and would often take mechanical gadgets apart and put them back together. As a teenager, Alfred was well known and admired for his taste in stylish, fast cars, which he often enjoyed racing. Alfred was a Certified Master Mechanic and founded Big Al's Towing Company in 1987. He was dedicated to his business rain or shine.

On July 10, 1993 Alfred was joined in holy matrimony to Pollanae Higgins, and from that union, Ashley Johnson was born. Many knew him as an "honest tow man," willing to help family, friends and oftentimes strangers. During times of severe weather, Alfred would lend a helping hand to other business owners as well as the elderly. He was always willing to help others even if it meant providing them with a place to stay or repairs at no charge.

Alfred is survived by his wife, Pollanae Johnson, and daughter, Ashley Johnson. Alfred is also survived by sisters, Patricia Johnson and Evora Swoopes (Leonard), a niece, Daviña Rogers (Atuan) and nephew, Leonard, Jr., a sister-in-law, Brenda Brown (Daniel), aunts, Emily Taylor and Francis Shelton, Norma Whittington (Stanley) and Philip Ellington and a host of cousins. Alfred was preceded in death by his mother, Myrtle Johnson, and father, Alfred Johnson.
