Pamela Victoria Weaver

Pamela Victoria McElhaney Weaver, more affectionately known as Vickie, went to be with the Lord on Monday, July 9, 2012 at Georgetown University Hospital, Washington, D.C. She was born on July 3, 1960 in Washington, D.C. to Annie B. and the late Albert C. McElhaney.

Vickie was educated in the District of Columbia (D.C.) public school system and after graduating from high school went on to further her education at the Smith Business School where she received her certificate in Business. After many years as a Washingtonian, Vickie left D.C., and became a resident of Oxon Hill, Maryland.

She met Joseph P. Weaver, Jr. one day while on a lunch break. They dated, fell in love and were united in holy matrimony in August 2008. Together, with her daughter LaToya, and grandchildren, they became a family.

Vickie was a devoted grandmother, spending a large portion of her life raising her grandchildren. She was a fun-loving person who joked around and could always make you laugh. She loved music, dancing and live concerts. Vickie was employed as a Concierge with Capital Concierge in Washington, D.C. for more than 12 years.

In addition to her father, she was also preceded in death by her grandparents.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Joseph P. Weaver, Jr.; daughter, LaToya McElhaney; grandchildren; Leevel, Victoria, Ameya, Brandon, Rahsaan, Nathan and Jada; mother, Annie McElhaney; two brothers, Michael and Christopher; two sisters, Vernessa and Renea; brother-in-law, Everett; sister-in-law, Beverly and a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

Her viewing will take place on Tuesday, July 17th, 10am until 11am, in the CHAPEL of Thornton Funeral Home, P.A. A Funeral Service will follow at 11:30am at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 4590 St. Joseph's Way, Pomfret, MD 20675

Arrangements entrusted to Thornton Funeral Home, P.A., 3439 Livingston Road, Indian Head, MD 20640.
