Gary Floyd Jackson

Gary F. Jackson of Indian Head, Maryland quietly departed this life on Monday, April 16, 2012 at the Southern Maryland Hospital Center in Clinton, MD.

Born May 28, 1948 in Washington D.C., Gary was the son of the late Carroll E. Jackson Sr. and the late Florine T. Jackson.

He was a lifelong resident of Charles County and he loved spending time with family and friends. He was an avid Washington Redskins fan. He loved traveling, listening to music, watching western movies and TV shows. He also loved ALL sports and umpiring for minor league baseball.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Pamela A. Knox, Gail C. Jackson and Denise Dyson, daughter, Jodonna Jackson and stepson, Derrick Williams.

He is survived by his wife, Dale Evelyn Jackson; daughter, April Jackson; sons, Gary Jackson Jr., James Brawner, and Demetrius Jackson, step-son, Andre Williams; five grandchildren; sisters, Diane Jackson, Sharon Pinkney, Tonya Jackson; brother, Carroll E. Jackson, Jr. and a host of other relatives and many friends.

His viewing will be held on Monday, April 23rd, 8:00am until 10:00am at Thornton Funeral Home, P.A.,3439 Livingston Road, Indian Head, Maryland. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00am, St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 4590 St. Joseph's Way, Pomfret, Maryland. Interment Church Cemetery.
